Samantha’s writing has been published in the New England Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, Gettysburg Review, Washington Square Review, Columbia Journalism Review, the Journal of International Affairs, and others. Her writing has also won the Pushcart Prize, the Raphael Smith Prize for Global Understanding, the Cordier Essay Award, the Baroness Winchester Prize for Human Rights, and others.  She has been supported by residencies with Bread Loaf, Ragdale, and the Jack Kerouac Foundation.

Samantha spent 15 years working around the world in humanitarian aid, and now works investigating government fraud and corruption. She received her B.F.A in playwriting from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU and her Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She also has a Master of Arts in International Crime and Justice from John Jay College at the City University of New York (CUNY).
